About Monash University’s Medical Programmes
Monash University’s Direct Entry Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (MD) offered at Clayton campus, is only offered to applicants who have completed Year 12 studies (or VCE equivalent) no more than two years prior, and have not commenced other studies at a tertiary level during that time. Applicants who have commenced tertiary study, including Certificate IV and above, are ineligible to apply for this course and should consider the graduate entry program. The course is 5 years in duration and there is only one intake per year, which is in February.
Approximately 60-65 international students are accepted into the medicine program at Clayton campus each year, offering international students an opportunity to study medicine in one of Australia’s most respected and prestigious undergraduate medicine programs.
International applicants are admitted into the program on a full-fee basis. Additionally, other expenses students would expect to incur are accommodation, transport and living expenses, plus textbooks and stationery.
